Roman was born in the Far East of Russia.
Currently he resides in the north suburb of Chicago.
Roman is a self-taught photographer. When he was four years old his father passed away and left him old film camera and dark-room equipment. They became his toys. Through play he learned how to photograph, develop films, and print images.

Roman believes that a photograph keeps photographer's intention and the energy of the moment when it was taken. Roman's intention is to bring joy and beauty to a viewer through his photographs.
